Hi, I am John. I am a Chartered Physiotherapist and Strength and Conditioning coach here at the Westport Physiotherapy and acupuncture clinic. I design a client led treatment/training plan to help you achieve your goals. I believe in developing self-efficacy with all of my clients.
I aim to achieve this through concise demonstration of each aspect of your treatment/training programmes. I have been part of our clinic since 2017 having returned from working in the UK for 10 years where I gained a wealth of knowledge in the National Health Service, and the private sector. As well as treating individual clients, I also run Pilate classes and mobility classes in our clinic studio. I also work with local teams to run fitness testing and develop short term or long term training programmes based on the sport. It is true that active people can make for excellent physiotherapists, and I am more than qualified in this regard. I am a keen sports man and still heavily involved in Gaelic football, Rugby, Cross fit and Triathlons. When I am not in clinic I am out working on my farm, tending to my cattle, sheep, growing vegetables and minding my bees.
