Margaret graduated from Robert Gordon’s University, Aberdeen in 2007 and is a Chartered Physiotherapist, with current membership of the ISCP. Prior to this she completed a degree in Sports rehabilitation at Carlow institute of technology from 2000-2004. She specialises in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries such as back, neck, joint and sports injuries, using a holistic approach to identify the key areas of dysfunction.
Margaret has gained valuable experience while working in the NHS in Scotland, England and in the collegiate system in the USA. Prior to returning to Ireland she worked in the National spinal unit in Scotland and as a specialised Senior Physiotherapist in Spinal Cord injuries in the National spinal injuries unit based at Stoke Mandeville hospital, Aylesbury.
She has a keen interest in sport especially rugby and has played competitively for 14 years, with clubs in Scotland, Galway and Mayo as well as Provisionally for Connacht. She has worked at the international 7’s in Edinburgh, and for the Connacht Womens Squad in 2013.
Margaret uses Myofascial release therapy, Trigger point dry needling, manual therapy techniques and incorporates Pilates as part of injury prevention and rehabilitation programmes. She also teaches a 3 weekly Pilates classes for beginners and improvers.
Margaret is currently studying for a Diploma in Myofascial release therapy and a Diploma in Systematic Kinesiology.
